CBT for Anxiety
Program Description: This is a 5 week educational skills development group that uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to provide participants with skills/strategies to manage their anxiety.

Inclusion Criteria: Mild/moderate symptoms of Depression or generalized anxiety disorder. Client is willing to learn in a group format. Client is informed and in agreement with the group’s reliance on behavioral change and cognitive skill building with a focus on weekly practice exercises. Client is present and future focused. Client is willing to share in group (or work towards a goal of eventually sharing). Client is able to commit to all group session dates/times. Client has access to internet/zoom. Client has access to a private area with computer/phone to protect confidentiality of all group members.

Exclusion Criteria: Severe symptoms of depression or generalized anxiety disorder requiring more individualized or complex treatment. Clinician deems client to be more appropriate for individual or specific care (e.g. DBT treatment, bi-polar depression, psychosis or psychotic-like experiences). Client has persistent suicidal behavior or rates moderate to high risk on SRAI. Client has significant history of self-harm behavior or anger issues. Client has serious concurrent addiction not yet controlled (e.g. active substance use where client is unable to abstain from substance use before or for the duration of each group session). Client has significant cognitive impairment affecting capacity to comprehend (e.g. dementia, intellectual disabilities, TBI, autism spectrum disorder, literacy issues). Client is not ready or able to commit to group work and weekly home practice between sessions. Client does not have access to internet/zoom or to a private area to protect confidentiality.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Program Description: This is a 9 week program to support people who are looking for more coping strategies specifically, for those who have had multiples relapses of depression or mild to moderate depression and/or anxiety. This is a therapy group and a study group, the discourse predominantly revolves around participants reflections on experiences from meditation and home practice or individual practice.

Inclusion Criteria: Mild/moderate symptoms of Depression or generalized anxiety disorder. Client is willing to learn in a group format. Client is able to commit to all group session dates/times. Client has access to internet/zoom. Client has access to a private area with computer/phone to protect confidentiality of all group members.

Clinician deems client to be more appropriate for individual or specific care (e.g. DBT treatment, bi-polar depression, psychosis or psychotic-like experiences). Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Program Description: This is a 9 week program to support stress management. Specifically, for those who are struggling with multiple life stressors and are feeling overwhelmed, chronic pain or chronic stress, work or familial stress.

Inclusion Criteria: Mild/moderate symptoms of Depression or generalized anxiety disorder. Client is willing to learn in a group format. Client is able to commit to all group session dates/times. Client has access to internet/zoom. Client has access to a private area with computer/phone to protect confidentiality of all group members.

Ray of Hope (CBT for Cancer Patients)
Program Description: This is an 8 week group that uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness, patients in this group will explore strategies to: experience emotions like sadness, anger and fear without being overwhelmed by them, hold onto hope without being in denial, cope with the symptoms of cancer and cancer treatment. Also to reconnect with a sense of control and meaning in their lives.

Inclusion Criteria: This group is meant for people who have a cancer diagnosis or are a close family member of someone with cancer. Are experiencing psychological distress, anxiety, depression, or difficulty coping with the effects of cancer on their life (a pre-existing mental health diagnosis is not required). Client is willing to learn in a group format. Client is able to commit to all group session dates/times. Client has access to internet/zoom. Client has access to a private area with computer/phone to protect confidentiality of all group members.

Trauma
Program Description: This is a 5 week educational skills development group that uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), recovery model therapy and mindfulness, participants in this class will explore strategies to: regulate emotions , work on distress tolerance , improve self-confidence , improve problem solving abilities , strengthen sense of self , let go of guilt and shame, validate experiences and feelings and stay more in the now/present.

Inclusion Criteria: Have a history of trauma. Are seeking out individual trauma therapy but want to learn skills and tools beforehand. Have had individual trauma therapy but want to brush up on tools and skills. Client is willing to learn in a group format. Client is able to commit to all group session dates/times. Client has access to internet/zoom. Client has access to a private area with computer/phone to protect confidentiality of all group members.
