What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is by far the most scientific form of psychotherapy. Whereas most other approaches have little or no research support, CBT has been evaluated and refined through literally thousands of scientific investigations over the past fifty years.

  • CBT is ACTION—and much less about talk—than any other form of therapy.
  • CBT is GOAL-FOCUSED. You’ll find your TeleCBT therapist focused on knowing your goals and coaching you to accomplish them as efficiently as possible.
  • CBT is FUTURE-ORIENTED. Although your past may have determined much of your present, your TeleCBT therapist will help you ensure that you determine your future.
  • CBT is TIME-LIMITED. Most people who work with a CBT therapist have between 8-20 sessions.

Your TeleCBT counselor will help you make the changes you need to make to improve the quality of your life. Those changes might be at home, at work, and/or at school.

TeleCBT can help you make the sometimes-difficult evolutions required to have a healthier relationship with yourself—and with your family members, coworkers, and friends.
